Andrea has been an integral part of our efforts in driving sustainable solutions across Latin America, combining her passion for sales with a strong commitment to environmental impact. We’re thrilled to recognize her as our rockstar of the month!
I work in the Sales team, and my job is to build strong relationships with companies and brands to help them integrate sustainable solutions into their products.
Before joining Okeanos, I developed my experience as a commercial executive for plastic industry machinery and as a maintenance engineer. I studied Electronic Engineering at the Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia.
The Made From Stone application I’m currently most excited about is dairy packaging, because I believe it’s a key sector where we can make a real impact by reducing the use of plastic in everyday consumer products.
When I’m working, I listen to my own Spotify playlist — it has a bit of everything, from vallenato to rock!
For news, I’m always tuned into local and international newspapers online, and for more specific industry topics, I turn to LinkedIn.
Outside of work, I’m currently reading El olvido que seremos by Héctor Abad Faciolince. I’m really enjoying it because it beautifully tells the story of a father and son, set against the complex social and political backdrop of Colombia. It’s an emotional, profound book and a powerful reminder of memory, justice, and family love.
Number of countries I’ve lived in: 2 — Colombia (in several cities: Medellín, Bogotá, Valledupar) and Ecuador (Guayaquil)
Next place I want to travel: It might not be my next trip, but I dream of going to Finland — to see the Northern Lights, visit Santa Claus, meet reindeer, and explore its unique architecture and design. It’s a destination that blends nature, magic, and innovation all in one.
